While growing up we would sit in front of our Grandparents fireplace, mesmerized by the flames. Its intoxicating allure and the cracking of wood kept us engaged for hours. We thought it was magical to be part of it all and never wanted to leave. However, you need a lot of wood to keep a fire going! So, the only way to help Grandpa chop wood for the fire was collecting the small pieces that chipped off the logs. After collecting them, we would sit in front of the fire, write our wish on the chip, toss them in and release it to the universe. He called it Wish Wood.
